The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) government, led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah, has enacted significant economic reforms during its first 100 days. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle spearheaded these changes, including the repeal of 15 obsolete laws that hindered private sector growth.

The administration aims to transform Nepal into a middle-income country. Key targets include reaching a 10 trillion rupee economy, expanding to over $100 billion within five to seven years, and achieving 7% annual growth. The plan also seeks to raise per capita income to $3,000.

According to The Rising Nepal, the upcoming fiscal budget prioritizes good governance, economic reactivation, and connectivity. The government has also introduced efficiency measures, such as shifting public services to online platforms and abolishing unnecessary offices. This roadmap aligns with the RSP’s electoral manifesto and recent business sector recommendations.
