10 people protesting in front of the Supreme Court are under police custody

11 citizenship victims who were yelling protests in front of the nation’s Supreme Court on Ramshah Path have been detained by police in Kathmandu.

Citizenship victims have been demonstrating over the previous few days and have held signs with slogans claiming that the Supreme Court has not rendered justice. They began yelling slogans at the Supreme Court’s main entrance when the Supreme Court announced that the hearing would be open to the public today (June 3).

The movement has begun to take on a violent form as a result of the victims, who have long struggled with numerous issues related to their lack of citizenship. The District Police Complex Teku spokeswoman, SP Sitaram Rizal, said that 11 protesters who shouted at the Supreme Court door had been detained.

He claimed that 10 persons, one of which was a woman, were detained for yelling protest signs in front of the Supreme Court.
