According to myRepublica, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has intensified digital public services and launched initiatives to reactivate stalled infrastructure projects. This effort is part of the government’s governance reform agenda, focusing on expanding digital access, improving transport management, and strengthening institutional accountability.
The Transport Management Department has introduced online license printing for citizens traveling abroad for employment or education. Reports indicate that over 1.349 million driving licenses have been dispatched via postal services to transport offices. The department now updates distribution details regularly, allowing applicants to track their license status online.
Jibendra Mishra, Senior Division Engineer, emphasized that the ministry is prioritizing digital, transparent, and citizen-friendly services. To support this, employee performance evaluations are being linked to measurable results through a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) system.
Additionally, the Road Department is utilizing a dashboard for weekly project updates and has established a 24-hour complaint management system accessible via web and social media. The ministry is also reviewing long-stalled projects to identify delays and implement reactivation measures.
