The Office of Company Registrars has proposed a 28% reduction in personnel to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies through the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). According to The Rising Nepal, Registrar Krishna Kumari Shrestha emphasized that modern technology allows for high-volume tasks to be completed rapidly with fewer employees. The office has implemented an AI-based call center for 24/7 support and launched an integrated digital system with the Inland Revenue Office for immediate commercial PAN issuance. Minister Gauri Kumari Yadav recently directed staff to prioritize new technology to ensure smooth service delivery.
