The government of Nepal is prioritizing domestic job creation to reduce labor migration. Minister Ramaji Yadav stated that supporting young entrepreneurs creates jobs and reduces the need to work abroad. According to The Rising Nepal, the Ministry awarded the “Best Entrepreneurs National Award” to six individuals who established businesses after returning from foreign employment. Lok Bahadur Rai received the top prize for his transition from a worker in Qatar to an apiary owner in Morang. Additionally, 13 municipalities were recognized for being child-labor-free, while six industries, including Hongsi Shivam Cement and Asian Paints Nepal, were honored for meeting labor standards. Secretary Dr. Dipak Kafle affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights.
