Nepal Hosts Beijing Event to Boost Chinese Investment

Nepal-China Investment and Business Event in Beijing

According to The Rising Nepal, the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing recently organized the “Nepal-China Investment and Business Event 2026” to strengthen bilateral economic ties. Collaborating with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the event aimed to facilitate investment exchanges and business matching.

Approximately 100 representatives from government and private sectors attended the gathering. Roshan Khanal, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, encouraged Chinese entrepreneurs to integrate Nepal into their supply chains. Meanwhile, Parbati Aryal presented Nepal’s investment policies, governance framework, and recent reform measures.

Key sectors highlighted for potential investment included herbal products, IT, tourism, hydropower, energy, garments, and infrastructure. Chinese business representatives also shared insights, emphasizing the need for localized planning and low-carbon development to succeed in the Nepali market.
