NEPSE Drops as Banking Sector Declines

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 8.30 points on Friday, July 3, 2026, closing at 2,653.40 points. According to myRepublica, the banking sector led the decline with a loss of 0.96%. Conversely, the finance sector managed a 1.06% gain. Market breadth was negative, with 160 companies declining against 103 advancers. Transaction volume reached Rs 4.41 billion. Top performers included Sanigad Hydro, Snow Rivers, and Kalanga Hydro, which hit the positive circuit. Meanwhile, Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower suffered the steepest drop, falling 13.65%.
